The Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission will review mural roster applications, a mural festival producer call, arts grant funding, subcommittee structures, and priorities for the Plummer Park improvement plan.
This preview is based on the published Arts Cultural Affairs Commission agenda. It does not reflect what will actually happen at the meeting.
What's proposed
The subcommittee is reporting on its September 10, 2026 meeting. It is recommending that the commission receive and file a project calendar, approve a long list of individual artists for the WeHo Muralist Roster, deny a separate list of artist applications for the same roster, and approve putting out a call for a Mural Festival Producer or Consultant as part of the city's Creative Plan.
Why it matters
The WeHo Muralist Roster determines which artists the city can call on for future mural projects. Approving a call for a Mural Festival Producer could lead to a new city-organized mural festival.
What the Commission will decide
The commission is being asked to receive and file the project calendar, approve the listed muralist roster applicants, deny the other listed applicants, and approve the call for a Mural Festival Producer/Consultant.
