What's proposed
The applicant wants to change an existing sign, called the West Sign, by making its west-facing side 10 feet longer toward Sunset Boulevard, while staying within the property line. The applicant also wants to adjust the proportions of that sign and of another sign on the east side of the building, called the East Sign.
Why it matters
Changes to large signs along Sunset Boulevard can affect how the street looks and how visible advertising is to drivers and pedestrians. Residents who care about the appearance of this stretch of Sunset Boulevard may want to weigh in.
What the Commission will decide
The commission will hold a public hearing and consider whether to approve the requested sign modifications, including related draft resolutions covering a development agreement and a zone map amendment.
What's proposed
The city is proposing to update and rename the current Parks and Recreation Element of its General Plan (the city's long-term planning document) so it becomes the new Open Space Element.

regarding agenda items may be submitted to the City Planning Division staff prior to or at the Planning Commission meeting; written materials submitted at least eight (8) days in advance of the meeting will be included in the Planning Commission's meeting packet. APPEAL PROCEDURES
Any final determination by the Planning Commission may be appealed, and such appeal must be filed within ten (10) calendar days after the Planning Commission action. This appeal shall be made in written form to the City Clerks Office, accompanied by an appeal fee or required number of signatures.
The City Clerk, upon filing of said appeal, will set petition for a public hearing before the City of West Hollywood's City Council at the earliest date.
If you challenge any City of West Hollywood decision in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described on this agenda, or in a written correspondence delivered to the Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.
